The Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex BJCC is a sports, convention and entertainment complex located in Birmingham, Alabama. For years a satisfactory solution to making a crossing between the center and Linn Park to the south over the elevated I-59 highway has been sought but has yet to come to fruition. The center has already acquired the necessary land to expand, but lacks the major funding required. The center wants to create a highway corridor to both mitigate the noise and bring their vision of a skywalk to the facility grounds into existence. It consists of a 17,000 seat arena, a 3,000 seat concert hall, a 220,000 square foot exhibition hall, a 1,000 seat theater and various banquet and meeting rooms and other facilities. The Legacy Arena at the BJCC is the premier venue for all the biggest concerts and traveling family shows.
